Human Energy and the Phenomenon of the Aura The flesh and blood that charge the body with fiery internal consciousness leads many people to think, act, and feel as if they are separate entities composed of static, solid matter. Human energy, however, is beyond such simplicity. Described in ten colors (and sometimes as a feeling of pressure), the human aura is a more complex human phenomenon by which the temporal human volition (the will) follows a path into transcendental, cosmic consciousness. Flowing from several areas in the body, the aura commonly appears in subtle, pastel hues that reflect positivity. There are, too, the less ebullient, dark and murky, striated shades that seem to cling to the body, indicating a negativity or unbalance. The positive rays, however, surge beyond the body, with nuances of color that may be distinct or irregular to the particular individual. The primary color of red represents the five human senses of touch, taste, smell, hearing, and sight and gives basal definition to the personality in the form of human love, passion (or anger), and the impetus to succeed. Up and outward, the color orange flows in creative, thoughtful, and sexual forces, with the darker hues relating to aggression, sloth, or repression. Yellow exemplifies the activity of the analytical mind and its connection to others, and its deeper blends convey emotions charged with such negative responses as resentment, jealousy, and psychic depression. The beautiful blues beam the aura of positive communication and spiritual connection; mixed with darker shades, the “blues” represent melancholia.
